Accommodations at The High Lonesome Ranch

The Guest House

Closest to the main lodge and dining area, the eight-bedroom Guest House provides a spacious retreat for up to 18 guests. It’s equipped with a kitchen, breakfast room, screened reading porch, great room and large open recreation room with an antique gaming table, flat-screen satellite TV, DVD player, WIFI, a stone fireplace and pool table. A wide, open deck across the front is the perfect spot to wind down from the day and catch the true meaning of purple mountains’ majesty at sunset. Top off the evening under the stars. And did we mention there’s also a massage room inside? There is. With a little notice, we’ll be happy to schedule private massage services for you.

The Pond House

Another popular lodging option, especially among our fishing guests, the Pond House has a feature you don’t find just anywhere: the fish come to you. Just a few yards from the front door, you can warm up for the day casting to some very nice-sized trout as they cruise by each morning. The roomy five-bedroom Pond House can accommodate up to ten guests and offers a great room, a screened sunroom and spectacular western views of mountains and fields where elk, deer and turkeys roam.

Forshay Log Cabin

Located in North Dry Fork Valley, the two-bedroom, two-bath Forshay log cabin offers all the creature comforts and an awesome view. It’s also where hunters have harvested some of our largest trophy animals. You and your guests will be spoiled in this very special place. A second Forshay guest cabin offers an additional two bedrooms and bath.

High Ranch

We now have two historic and rustic old big game hunting cabins in a choice spot on top of the world at Corral Mountain near the Douglass Pass, where the views are about as good as it gets, and so is the big game hunting.

Hay Canyon

Again, it’s hard not to brag about the views around here. At Hay Canyon, you’ll find a fully equipped three-bedroom ranch house nestled in its own private valley with lush meadows and freshwater springs—a favorite elk hangout—adjacent to amazing rock formations. The cabin has a full kitchen, fireplace, deck and bath.

McKay Fork

Right on top of the famous Book Cliffs, where wild horses run free and the alpine views take your breath away, these cabins put you in the best possible spot for riding. McKay Fork is the tried-and-true lodging preference of our equestrian guests and many of our big game hunters.
